Intruder Alert
2022, Acrylic, Ink
In public places like subways, cafes, and classrooms, people who are conditioned to peek at others’ mobile phones or computer screens have been constantly creating disturbance through their invasion of privacy. Thus, I personify their rude behaviors as fierce animals crawling onto my head, casting shadows on my alarmed face, which is further enhanced through the post-impressionistic use of color and rough texture. The entire composition is designed for powerful visual impact, with the animals directed straight downward in a fish-eye perspective, hoping to arouse public awareness of respecting the privacy of others.
