As one of the biggest assignments for IB Visual Arts, my comparative study compares and contrasts 3 artworks from 3 different artists of similar subject matter from 3 different cultures and time periods. The study explores the formal qualities, meaning, and the material, conceptual, and cultural significance of the artworks, as well as my own interpretation on the subject matter through a self-directed painting.
